Canada gives Iran ‘Pass’ a screen

Iran short ‘Pass’ attends Concordia Film Festival in Canada.

Iranian short film ‘Pass’ has attended the Concordia Film Festival (CFF) in Canada.

The film that counts as Elika Abdollahi’s directorial debut has been among the 11 international short works in competition at the 47th edition of the Canadian film event.

The 11-minute short has already screened at a number of film events, including the Asoric Film Festival in Iran. The film will also soon attend the Tassvir Film Festival which will kick off June 24, 2020.

The Concordia Film Festival is a non-profit event that is run by students. The fest is in collaboration with Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema (MHSoC) at Concordia University.

This year’s edition of the event not only screened films, but also held discussion sessions and seminars on the relevance of medium in the arena of filmmaking.

The fest was a two day event which held on June 20-21, 2020.
